Nick is a senior at the University of Kansas majoring in Journalism and History. His concentration focuses on sports media, broadcasting, and writing. His career aspirations include working in the sports media industry as a radio play-by-play broadcaster. Nick is currently in his second season as the play-by-play voice of Kansas Baseball for the spring of 2020 on the Jayhawk Radio Network. He has worked as the official voice of Kansas Women’s soccer for 2 seasons in the fall of 2017 and 2018 providing play-by-play broadcasts of every game on the Jayhawk Radio Network as well as the official voice of Kansas softball in the spring of 2018. He worked as the voice of Kansas Volleyball in the fall of 2019. He also has play-by-play experience with the KU student radio station KJHK broadcasting football and men’s and women’s basketball. While at KJHK Nick produced podcasts, hosted award-winning live sports-talk radio shows, and provided written sports content for KJHK.org
Nick worked as the “Voice of the Mid-Plains League” during the summers of 2018 and 2019, broadcasting regular season games as well as the All-Star game and the playoffs. The Mid-Plains League is a semi-professional intercollegiate wooden bat league with college players in Northeast Kansas and West Missouri.
Nick has produced content for the Kansas student newspaper, the University Daily Kansan, as well.
